Visa granted to Ariel Sigler Amaya

The United States has granted a humanitarian visa to former Cuban political prisoner Ariel Sigler Amaya, gravely ill and released last week by the Cuban authorities.

Ariel's brother, Juan Francisco Sigler Amaya, confirmed on Saturday at Radio Martí that the visa allows the output of Ariel, who must travel alone.

The human rights activist thanked the Cuban exile community, who were mobilized to raise funds to solve the red tape in Cuba and medical care and stay of Ariel in the U.S.
