Representatives of the European Union (EU) said they were pleased with the Cuban government’s decision to release 52 political prisoners, but reiterated their demand that all imprisoned dissidents be released, reported the media in Brussels. The measure taken by the island’s authorities could contribute to the end of the Common Position, the European policy governing bilateral relations since 1996.
